Will CCSD Superintendent Jesus Jara Stay After School Board Rescinded His Termination?

The Clark County School Board voted 4-to-3 early Friday morning to rescind last month's firing of Superintendent Jesus Jara.

The move comes amid multiple recriminations and intensified verbal battles among several of the board's members.

On its best days, members of the school board, which oversees the operations of the nation's fifth-largest school district, have trouble respectfully communicating with one another.

Critics say that the board has failed to help the district and its nearly 40,000 employees effectively navigate through the workplace-shattering impact of the global pandemic.
